Burna Boy, Wizkid, Olamide and Davido are leading the list of entertainers under scrutiny by fans for their silence during the 2023 general election.
Burna Boy, Wizkid, Olamide & Davido, I don’t ever wanna hear any freedom fighting patriotic songs from y’all after the election.
Most especially u burna you’ve built a house on the hill of freedom fighting music, y’all should forever shut up & sing the normal Nyansh & women song

Since the presidential campaign began, these artists particularly the self-acclaimed “African giant” has kept mute over their preferred candidate.
The internet isn’t finding it funny with Burna Boy especially as netizens expressed their displeasure on how his actions contradict his freedom-fighting words/lyrics in his music.
Burna boy and co, as y'all have been mute this period, Make sure I don't hear any freedom fighting bs for Nigeria in your songs anymore
Y'all should shut up forever, T for thanks.

Solomon Buchi, a journalist tagged the artist as “giant rat of Africa”, making mockery of his actual nickname.
I don’t ever want to hear Burnaboy call himself the giant of Africa, as per he’s modern day Fela. Who is his candidate? Whooooo? That’s why he needs Igbo and Shayo. You can’t claim to be for the people and then keep shut when it’s time. Giant rat of Africa.

It is believed that Burna Boy isn’t currently in the country and thus, unable to exercise his voting right.

However, many fans opined that the artist could have still lent his voice to encourage his fanbase in the country to vote.
