A Nigerian journalist, Kachi, who was the only Nigerian journalist in attendance at the Met Gala event, has called out Burna Boy for allegedly snubbing her and denying her an interview. Video evidence has surfaced on the internet, showing Burna Boy ignoring Kachi’s attempts to interview him.

Despite granting interviews to other journalists present at the event, Burna Boy dodged the Nigerian journalist, who expressed her disappointment, stating that she felt stupid, especially since she called out to him, saying “Odogwu.”
In the video, Kachi can be seen calling out to Burna Boy multiple times, but her efforts were in vain. She eventually gave up, knowing she wouldn’t be able to get an interview out of him. Facing the camera, she said, “he snubbed Nigeria, he snubbed you. Know this.”
It is unclear why Burna Boy ignored the journalist, but his actions have caused a stir on social media, with many Nigerians expressing their disappointment and calling him out for disrespecting a fellow Nigerian.

As a popular musician and an ambassador for Nigerian music, Burna Boy should have shown more professionalism and respect towards journalists, especially fellow Nigerians who were present at the event.
