Bayern Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface has won his fourth consecutive ‘Rookie of the Month’ award in the German Bundesliga.
On Friday, the Bundesliga announced Boniface beat Xavi Simons and Merlin Röhl in the vote to clinch the prize for players under 23.
The 22-year-old star won the award for November, following earlier wins in August, September and October.
He has netted eight times for Leverkusen, helping the team to the top of the table after 13 games, three points better than Bayern Munich who have played a game less.
Although he did not score in November, the Leverkusen striker’s goal contributions did not go unnoticed.
“Instead, he chipped in with two assists in the 3-2 win away at Hoffenheim on Matchday 10. The Nigerian was his usual shot-happy self with 11 attempts, but he is much more than just a classic centre-forward,” the Bundesliga wrote about the Super Eagles star.
Boniface joined Leverkusen in July 2023, from Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium, who he helped to the quarter-finals of the 2022-2023 Europa League, becoming the joint top scorer in the competition.
