It was good news for investors today as bullish sentiments stopped a potential six day loss on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, as the All Share Index appreciated by 0.68%. Market Capitalization closed above the 30,000 basis points level.
The total volume of transactions reduced from 476,357,580 to 307,989,308 a 35.34% change from the last trading session. However, the number of deals recorded increased by 13.64%. The total value of all transactions recorded depreciated by 0.95% from ₦3.65 Bn to ₦3.61 Bn today.
Apart from the ASI, the NSE 30, LOTUS and Industrial index ended the day in the green, while the Banking, Insurance, Oil and Gas and Consumer Goods index ended the day in the red. The ASEM Index remained unchanged.
The demand for ACCESS shares continue as it ended the day as the most actively traded stock by volume as 45,399,464 units of its shares were exchanged today. UBA, ETRANZACT, TRANSCORP and GUARANTY completed the list of the five most actively traded stock on the exchange today.
