Alhaji Abdu Ringo, Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State, says President Muhammadu Buhari’s “Next Level” is an undiluted path to liberate Nigerians.
He made the remarks on Friday during the presentation of certificates to contractors awarded infrastructure projects in Wucicciri ward of Zaria Local Government Area.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Community Leaders in each unit were mobilised by the council to monitor the execution of the projects to ensure compliance to set standards.
The chairman, who was represented by his Vice, Alhaji Buhari Musa-Bizara-Bizara, said: “We need to support President Buhari to actualise his Next Level agenda aimed at liberating Nigerians from difficulties and economic scourge.
“Before the coming of the Buhari-led administration, we spent 16 years in darkness and corruption, despite the opportunity they had to develop Nigeria when global oil price was high.
“I want to urge all of you to support and continue with the house-to-house and door-to-door campaign for the President, Gov. Nasiru El-Rufa’i and all other APC lawmakers at all levels,” he said.
The chairman said every Nigerian farmer would attest to the Federal Government efforts at diversifying the economy.
“Every farmer can bear witness that he/she got a bag of fertilisers at the cost N5,500 and readily available all over the country, this has never happened in the last administration,” he said.
In his speech, the Zaria Council Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Idris-Ibrahim said the projects being awarded were meant to change the lives of the citizens for the better.
He said the projects were in fulfillment of promises made during electioneering campaign, advising that the electorate should pray for them to fulfill all the promises.
Idris-Ibrahim gave the assurance that the council would ensure prudent management of resources for the good for residents, adding that more projects are on the way after elections.
In their separate responses, the community leaders appreciated Zaria local government council for fulfilling its campaign promises.
They promised to re-elect Buhari, whom they described as honest, promising and a hope for the Nigerian masses.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the projects included drilling and repairs of boreholes, completion and renovation of mosques, construction of concrete drainage, channels and culverts, electrification and renovation of primary schools. (NAN)
