The Special Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, has condemned some churches for allegedly dragging the pulpit into political intrigues during the 2019 general election.
Taking to his verified Twitter handle on Friday, the presidential aide accused some clerics of using the name of God to justify personal hatred, spread lies and fabrications.
Although he did not name the pastors concerned, Ogunlesi stated that they tried to use their positions for partisan advantage during the period leading to the election.
Ogunlesi, “All the Churches that dragged politics onto the pulpit in unwholesome/prejudiced ways, shame on you. The Pastors who tried to use the name of God to justify personal hatred, who spread lies and fabrications for partisan advantage, shame, shame, shame on all of you.”
