The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has disagreed with presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over the crowd at his campaign rally kick-off in Sokoto on Monday.
Atiku had tweeted four photos of the rally showing a mammoth crowd and tagged the photos: “Sokoto! We are here. #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain”

But Ahmad, who reacted to the tweet, said the crowd in the photo was not from Sokoto alone, noting that residents of other states of the Northwest were present.
He identified the states as Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
Ahmad, who said Nigerians were with incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, predicted a bigger crowd for his principal than the crowd at Atiku’s rally.
Reacting to the tweet, he said, “The whole of Northwest (Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara) Rally, not only Sokoto, sir? When President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign trail hits the ground, the remaining messages will be passed and cleared. Nigerians are with President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.”
