This Is When Buhari Will Return – Ex-Abia State Gov., Orji Uzor Kalu

2 Min Read

A former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has corroborated the First Lady’s speech delivered over the weekend with regards to the president’s health.

Recall that the president left the country on May 7 for the United Kingdom on health grounds and according to reports, he is responding well to treatment and is expected back in the country soon.

The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, who left the country some days ago to be with the President in UK said in the 23rd Annual Ramadan Lecture of Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) message that “the President will be back very soon.”

She further added: “My husband is recovering very fast. And very soon, he will return to the country to resume his official duties.”

Confirming the First Lady, Aisha Buhari’s comment, the former Governor claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari will return to the country before June 11.

Speaking during an interview with reporters at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Kalu revealed that he visited the president in UK last week and that his health had improved.

He added: “I went to Washington to visit some business partners and from there stopped at London to see Mr President, who is recovering very fast.

“I am excited over the state of health of President Buhari despite the hate messages people were spreading about him. I am disappointed with the statement coming from some Nigerians about the health of Mr President.

“The messages some Nigerians have been spreading in the social media is unhealthy. I am calling on Nigerians to have a change of heart. Being a President, does not mean, you cannot be sick, the hate messages are becoming too much. There must be good sense of tolerance among the ethic groups, we are all one.”
