The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari has following his resumption of office revealed that he will be working from home.
The Nigerian president was reported to have written to the National Assembly to resume office today following his speech earlier today.
Presidential aide, Femi Adesina, had however on the Sunrise Daily programme on Channels TV revealed that the president may have to return to the UK soon should he be deemed unhealthy enough.
Femi Adesina said: “What Nigerians should hope for is that our president will remain whole. But if there is any reason to go out why not, you need to first stay alive before you can lead a country. So whatever it takes for our president to remain healthy should be done, but we want to hope and believe that the worst is over,” he said.
However, following Buhari’s resumption of office, the presidency through the Personal Assistant to President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, revealed that President Buhari will be working from home due to ongoing renovations in his office.
