President Mohammadu Buhari has said that his administration will create new policies integrated into the 2016 budget so as to diversify Nigeria’s economy from Oil to other sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing and mining.
Buhari said this during a meeting with a delegation of French investors under the aegis of Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), led by its president, Mr. Pierre Gattaz in Abuja on Monday.
Buhari assured Gattaz and his team that the new policies currently enacted will boost manufacturing and also attract investors to Nigeria’s mining and manufacturing sectors.
He admonished the French men to return to Nigeria next year so as to take full advantage of the new policies.
The Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF), or the “Movement of the Enterprises of France”, is the largest employer federation in France.
It has more than 750,000 member firms, 90 per cent of them being small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with fewer than 50 employees.
