President Muhammadu Buhari has reshuffled the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as he appoints Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei as acting MD replacing Barr Joy Nunieh.
This is coming after a Niger Delta militant group Reformed Niger Delta Avengers (RNDA) threatened to bomb the oil pipelines in the region after Supreme court sacked David Lyon, Bayelsa governor-elect and candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was contained in a letter addressed to the Presidency and Supreme court that the peaceful pact codenamed Operation ceasefire will be aborted if the federal government does not restore Lyon’s mandate.
