The Lagos State Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo says there is no truth behind his rumoured quest for the governorship of Lagos State.
MC Oluomo’s spokesman, Jimoh Buhari stated this on Tuesday while reacting to the buzz generated by the popular transport union leader’s forthcoming book.
He insisted that the union leader’s book was not in any way tied to the 2023 general election but merely to chronicle his life story.
According to him, the book will be released in March to coincide with MC Oluomo’s birthday.
Buhari stressed that his principal has no political ambition at the moment, blaming mischief-makers for the governorship rumour.
The book is not yet ready but should be launched around March when MC Oluomo’s birthday will be held.
“The book is just about MC Oluomo’s experiences, his history, and his life story. There are many misconceptions about him and the book gives him the opportunity of clearing the air on many issues.
“It is certainly not about 2023 politics. There have been rumours about his intention to contest but right now, he has no such ambition,” The Punch quoted Buhari to have said.
