President Muhammadu Buhari says the killers of Dr. Terkula Suswam, elder brother of former Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam, must be identified and made to face justice.

President Buhari spoke through his media aide, Malam Garba Shehu on Thursday while consoling with the family of the deceased.

The police had disclosed in a Wednesday statement that Suswam, a prominent businessman and PDP chieftain, was gunned down on Tuesday by unknown gunmen in a Toyota Camry as he sat opposite his house with his aide, one Mr Solomon.

The state Commissioner of Police ordered “discreet investigation” into the incident to identify the killers, the statement further read.

The presidential statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari commiserates with government and people of Benue State over the death of Chief Terkula Suswam, praying that the Almighty God will comfort his family and all loved ones.

“President Buhari condoles with the former Governor of Benue State, Sen. Gabriel Suswam, who is the deceased’s younger brother, and all friends and associates of the renowned community leader, whose impact on media and education in the state remain commendable.

“The President believes that the circumstances surrounding the violent and untimely death of Chief Terkula Suswam and his aide, Mr Solomon, must be thoroughly investigated and the culprits brought to book.
