Buhari not interested in EndSARS – Fani-Kayode

2 Min Read
Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode says President Muhammadu Buhari is not interested in the EndSARS protests.

He stated this in a series of tweets on Monday evening.

Fani-Kayode was reacting to the burning of dozens of cars said to belong to EndSARS protesters in Abuja.

Videos that circulated on social media on Monday showed many cars on fire.

Thick black smoke could be seen billowing into the skies as the cars got razed.

Reacting, Fani-Kayode said, “Do you still love Buhari and do you still believe he respects the rights of those who oppose him and that proteet against his Govt?

“If you think this man is interested in #EndSARS or in stopping police brutality or anything else then you need to have your head examined.

Right now he is still using thugs to disrupt the protests and attack people. Next he will use the military.”

Fani-Kayode’s assertion runs contrary to information provided by Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare.

The minister had said early today that the president believed in the right of the youths to peacefulpresident.

Dare spoke to State House correspondents after meeting Buhari, disclosing that the president told him to advise the youths to keep their protests peaceful.
