President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, February 6 launched two fighter helicopters in the fleet of the Nigerian Air Force.
The helicopters are a 109 power and 171E combat, and they were procured to be deployed to the northeast and assist other military operations across the country.
The event which took place at the Eagles Square, Abuja was witnessed by the speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
“You’ll all agree with me that the successes we have achieved so far have restored our pride,” the president said. He thanked Nigerians for supporting his administration despite the security challenges facing the country.
