President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met with the 344 Kankara boys, a day after they were released by their abductors.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina shared photos of the meeting which held in Kankara.
Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad said early Friday afternoon that his principal would meet the students.
Buhari had initially declined to visit the school in spite of numerous calls for him to do so in order to show solidarity with the abducted students, their parents and the community where the abducted occurred.
However, the Information and Culture Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed defended his principal, saying it was not necessary for him to visit the school.
He also explained that President Buhari coordinated the release efforts of the Kankara boys despite not being physically present in the town.
