Despite the heavy rainfall in the area yesterday, residents of Yenagoa, Bayelsa, came out in their numbers to the rally of the Peoples Democratic Party, organized by its Presidential Campaign Organization.
In the program, the presidential candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar said the coming election will dictate the future of Nigerian youths, as well as the whole nation. He stressed that the Buhari’s administration has failed to fulfill all the three important promises it made when it came into power.
The former president, Goodluck Jonathan, equally stated that Atiku was capable of taking decisions that would be fair and be considerate of every geopolitical zones in e country. Jonathan emphasized that Atiku is the best among the presidential candidates and will handle the entire country as if it was his constituency.
Also speaking at the event, the National Chairman of PDP, Chief Uche Secondus stated that Buhari had turned into a dictator, violating the constitution in the process. He said, “Atiku is an achiever who has attracted a lot of awards. We are here to talk to you that Nigeria is at a Cross Road. Buhari is against the constitution of the country. Every day, he breaks the law of the land, he divides the country. Every day, more people become hungry, he is killing the innocent. He is now a full-blown dictator.
“He came to power as a civilian but as the saying goes, a chameleon cannot change. Without due process, he removed the head of another arm of government. I am referring to the removal of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
“APC said we should not talk about the man who is breaking the law, but you cannot continue to break the constitution that guides everybody. APC is hiring people to defend it. We will continue to talk about it, this is not politics, Buhari must stop breaking our laws.”
He further stated that the current administration is corrupt, using the Transparency International claims as his proof.
