Many Nigerians are hailing the outcome of the inaugural Presidential Media chat with President Muhammad Buhari due to assurances the President gave the nation as regards the state of the nation.
One Nigerian who may not be as comfortable since watching the media chat is Radio Biafra founder, Nnamdi Kanu.
Posed a question on the fate of Nnamdi Kanu who had been granted bail but refused to be set free by the Department of State Security, President Buhari said that Kanu had been charged with treasonable felony and he hoped that a competent court would hear the case against him.
Buhari said, “This is someone (in reference to Kanu) that has two passports, British and Nigerian, but did not come to Nigeria with those documents. This is someone who brought in sophisticated equipment to start broadcasting and incite people against the government.
The President added that those who were still being held in relation to Dasuki gate would also not be freed despite being granted bail as there was strong national interest in ensuring that they did not jump bail.
The President said those clamouring for the State of Biafra did not really have any strong points as to how they are being marginalized by the Nigerian government.
