A Presidential aspirant running under the Young Progressive Party (YPP), Kingsley Moghalu, has said that President Buhari and PDP candidate Atilu Abubakar, are not the only ones gunning for the office.
According to Moghalu, any one who says this is a purveyor of fake news.
He was speaking at the news conference organised by the BBC world service in Abuja which was to tackle fake news and its prevalent nature in Nigeria.
The perpetuation of the falsehood that the 2019 election is a two-horse race between the APC and PDP is fake news,” he said.

“If you talk to Nigerians on the streets as we do as candidates, you will find out that the vast majority of Nigerians are sick and tired of the recycled and old politicians.
“But a lot of the media organisations are portraying a false narrative and this is very detrimental to democracy. Everyone knows my party, the YPP, is the third force in Nigerian politics today. But if you read the print media, you wouldn’t know this.”
Moghalu also added : “I am going to move Nigeria’s economy away from oil towards innovation. I am going to provide the kind of leadership transformation we need in this country,” he said.
“I will help establish a national ambition around which this country can unite. And my leadership will restore Nigeria’s standing in the world.”
