President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire as his Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This is contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
Orelope-Adefulire served as Deputy Governor to immediate-past Governor, Babatunde Fashola, who is presently Minister for Power, Works and Housing.
The statement read: “President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire as his Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Mrs. Orelope-Adefulire served as Deputy-Governor of Lagos State in the last administration and is an accomplished politician with many years of experience in public service.
“She has also served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Lagos State.”
