“her expressions seemed to be saying: ‘Me, not me o?’ or ‘Don’t mind the fake news merchants.” Sadia on the “Buhari Second Wife” saga
Hajia Sadia Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Socia Development, was at the centre of attention during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, according to the Nation reports.
The Nation reported that while Sadia Farouq’s “colleagues milled around her, They smiled with her; they shook hands with her” at the Executive Chambers before the commencement of the meeting.
One group after the other, ministers took turns ambushing her, subtly demanding comments from her regarding her alleged married to the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

“her colleagues listened with rapt attention as though concurring with her that fake news merchants deserved to be in hell”
The saga about President Buhari marrying a second wife trailed several news platforms last week. Although the presidency denied having a wedding on Friday, October 11, it did not deny having a wedding at all.
On the other hand, the first lady, Aisha Buhari, may have indirectly dared the president to deny the allegation about a second wife.

In an interview with BBC Africa, Aisha said;
“He is the one they said is getting married not me so he is the one that should publicly deny it. The person they said he’s getting married to didn’t deny it initially, she waited until the wedding didn’t hold on the said date before she publicly denied it.”
