American singer Bruno Mars has achieved a historic milestone on Spotify, becoming the first artist to reach 150 million monthly listeners on the platform.
The achievement, recorded on January 27, marks a new record in Spotify’s history, cementing Mars’ place as one of the most streamed artists globally.
Reacting to the news on his Instagram Story, the Grammy-winning singer expressed excitement and urged his fans to keep streaming his songs. He humorously declared that with the massive streams he’s receiving, he would soon be out of debt.
“Keep streaming! I’ll be out of debt in no time,” Mars wrote.
Spotify is known as one of the highest-paying music streaming platforms. According to music analytics platform Chart Masters, Canadian rapper Drake and American pop star Taylor Swift are among the biggest earners on the platform, with estimated earnings of $7,717,904 and $7,713,106, respectively.
