Nigerian international Brown Ideye picked up an injury in the 87th-minute during West Brom Premier League match against Southampton at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
The striker who has only starting to find form since is summer move to English football, made yet another start for the Baggies as they sealed a 1-0 win over fifth-place Southampton, which could have very well have secured top flight football for them next season.
But manager Tony Pulis says he has achieved nothing at West Brom despite pulling eight points clear of the relegation zone, he said 40 point is the minimum target he has set for his team to retain premier football for next season.
Ideye came close to adding to his tally of 3 goals already this season, but Fraser in the Saint’s goal was in good form to top the Nigerian.
The 26-year-old was replaced in the 88th-minute but got a well above average rating for his contribution to West Brom’s win.
The striker posted a 77.8% passing accuracy in the oppositions half and was also useful to the team in defensive areas, winning 6 duels.
The extent of the injury cannot be ascertained yet as there’s no official statement from West Brom.
