No fewer than two persons died and another sustained severe injuries after a helicopter crashed into a private residence in Opebi, Ikeja Local Government area in Lagos state.
Opebi area of Lagos state was thrown into a state of mass hysteria after a Quorum Aviation aircraft suddenly dropped from the sky around 12noon, Friday August 28, 2020.
Nosa Okunbor, Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the accident to Punch via a phone call.
“Yes, it just happened. The helicopter crashed in Opebi around 12pm. LASEMA operatives are on our way to the incident site. I’ll give you more updates,” said Nosa.
The dead bodies have been deposited in the mortuary while the severely injured has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment.
