Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde has announced the death of a patient who died from Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) complications.
Makinde who made the announcement via his verified Twitter account wrote;
“Sadly, one of the new COVID-19 cases announced yesterday, passed away this morning. This brings the number of COVID-19 related deaths in the state to two.”
“So, there are currently eight active cases in Oyo state”
As at 11:50pm, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) 1273 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. Discharged: 239 , Deaths: 40.
