The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki as well as Oba Rilwan Akiolu were attacked at the home of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomole.
According to a statement signed by Obaseki’s Special Assistant for Media, Obaseki as well as every other person who were attacked escaped without injuries.
Obaseki’s assistant, Crusoe Osagie, said Obaseki and every other person had attended the maiden convocation ceremony of the Edo University, Iyahmo, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, when the incident happened.

The University is directly opposite Oshiomole’s home in Iyahmo.
