The Ekiti Broadcast Service (BSES) has been shut down by the National Broadcasting Service for violating the broadcast code.
Armstrong Idachaba, the Director, Broadcast Monitoring of NBC announced the closure of the state government-owned station on Saturday night.
The Director mentioned that Governor Fayose’s went against the Broadcasting Code and the Electoral Act, as he made use of the media house.
He also alleged that the governor went ahead to declare the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) candidate winner of the election by himself.

According to him: ‘’The commission is not pleased by the unlawful declaration of election result by the governor himself.
‘’the NBC is taking stringent measures to stop the unnecessary breach of Electoral Act and the Broadcasting Code’’. He said.
Armstrong however announced that the media house would remain closed down for now.
