Moments after the leadership of the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Senate vacated a closed door session, both arms of the National Assembly have convened in the chamber of the Nigerian Senate.
According to an aide of the Senate president, the House of Representatives members joined their colleagues in the Senate in order to show solidarity with the leadership of the National Assembly.
This comes just hours after suspended Senator, Ovie Omo-Agege went rogue and stormed the Senate chamber with hoodlums and removed the mace, driving off with the mace to an unknown location.
Omo-Agege who is the All Progressives Congress lawmaker, representing Delta central was one of the lawmakers who opposed the electoral amendment bill which seeks to, among other things, reshuffle the order of elections in the country.
