Reports from Maiduguri say the capital city of Borno state has been rocked by multiple bomb blasts on Thursday evening.
According to a report by theCable, the first blast occured at Gunge area of the city at 6pm. The other blast followed several minutes later in the area of town where cars are sold.
The bomb blasts have come nearly 24 hours after the Governor of Borno State Babagana Zulum was attacked by Boko Haram at Baga.

The Governor has berated the army command in the area for creating a false sense of security in the area.
It remains unclear at the time this report was filed if Boko Haram is behind the bomb blasts.
The Nigerians have suffered increasing casualty on the ground while it continues to record success from the air in the war against Boko Haram and bandits in Nigeria’s Northeast and Northwest.
