Jürgen Klopp has stunned Liverpool and the world of football by announcing he is to leave the club at the end of the season, The Herald reports
The 56-year-old in a video posted on the Liverpoolfc.com on Friday attributed his decision to “running out of energy”.
Klopp said, “I will leave the club at the end of the season.
“I understand that it’s a shock,” he said.
Klopp became Liverpool boss in 2015. Since then, the German has gone on to win the club’s first Premier League title.
He also guided the club to UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2022, and won the trophy in 2019.
