Following the outcome of the Ekiti state Governor Election last Saturday, Governor Ayo Fayose has expressed displeasure with the way it was conducted.
He stated that the governorship candidate for the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Professor Eleka Olusola will go to court to challenge the result of the election, adding that the ruling All Progressives Congress stole the people’s mandate.
According to reports from Vanguard, Fayose vehemently said that the victory of Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress will be challenged at the election tribunal. He also accused President Buhari of using security agents to disrupt the election process and rob the people of their chosen candidate.

Fayose’s statement says: ‘’With the result of the Ekiti governorship election, President Buhari has shown us that he is never a democrat, but a traitor. It is only Buhari who be very comfortable to make use of mercenaries to violently intimidate people in order to win an election.
‘’Buhari has displayed an act of shame before Nigerians and the world. If he believes he won, why are the people not rejoicing?
We will make sure we reclaim the stolen mandate that Buhari and Fayemi stole from the people of Ekiti state and by God’s grace, we will rejoice at the end.
