Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has said he will honour last week’s invitation extended to him by the police by 12noon today.
He disclosed this in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday morning.
He tweeted, “I will report to the Inspector General of Police’s office at Force Headquarters in Abuja at 12.00 noon today in response to the invitation that they sent to me last week. The invitation indicated that they want to question me about one of my essays. The Lord is with us!”

Recall that The Herald had last week reported that the former Culture Minister was invited by the police for inciting the public and publishing allegedly defamatory materials.
According to a letter signed by Commissioner of Police, IGP Monitoring Unit, Force Headquarters, CP Habu A Sani and dated August 20, 2018, police authorities said Fani-Kayode was invited for “alleged conspiracy, criminal defamation, inciting publication, injurious falsehood, and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.”
