Controversial skit maker, Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, has been remanded at the Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan by the Family Court under the Ibadan Magisterial District.
The Oyo State Police Command disclosed this in a series of tweets on Monday.
Adisa, 31, was detained by the police on Friday, June 23, after he was invited over a video depicting the sexualisation of a female minor.
He was detained alongside the parents of the minor, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29.
The police had arraigned Adisa on two count charges of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of a minor on Monday.
The police said that the offences violated Section 516 of the Criminal Code Cap 38. Vol. 11, Laws of Nigeria, 2000 and Section 35(1) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law, 2006 and punishable under Section 2 of the same law.
“Abdullahi Maruf Adisa ‘M’ Age 31 and parents of the minor have been remanded at the Agodi Correctional Centre, Ibadan.
“Case has been adjourned till Tuesday 11/7/2023,” the police said.
