A member representing Tudunwada/Doguwa Federal Constituency, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has been sacked by the Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna state.
Reports claimed that the court on Monday, November 4, removed Doguwa as the majority Leader of the House. The appeal court sacked Doguwa in a unanimous decision of the judges.
The Herald gathered that the court nullified the entire election in the two local government areas of Tudunwada/Doguwa federal constituency of Kano that the ranking lawmaker represents at the green chamber.

Reading the judgement, lead judge, Oludotun Adefope-Okojie, ordered fresh elections in the constituency.
Meanwhile, The Herald reported that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, named the majority Principal Officers of the red chamber.
Gbajabiamila read a letter from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) nominating the principal officers. The appointees are Alhassan Ado-Doguwa as Majority Leader, Peter Akpatason as Deputy Majority Leader, Mohammed Monguno and Chief Whip and Nkeiruka Onyejeocha as Deputy Whip.
Recall that the Speaker had yesterday appointed Ndudi Godwin Elumelu as Minority Leader; Toby Okechukwu as Deputy Minority Leader; Gideon Gwani as Minority Whip and Adesegun Adekoya as Deputy Minority Whip.
