Chelsea maintained their unbeaten run in the English Premier League since the December appointment of Dutchman Guus Hiddink, with a 2-1 comeback against Southampton.
Shane Long had put Southampton ahead before the break at the St. Mary’s Stadium, sending the home team wild, before Cesc Fabregas drew level fifteen minutes from time.
The visitors kept on the pressure and looked certain to take the game, but a fine combination of fine defensive work from the home side denied them an opportunity to go ahead.
However, a late goal from right back, Branislav Ivanovic secured the victory for the visitors.
