Renowned skit maker, Chukwuebuka Emmanuel Amuzie, popularly known as Brain Jotter, has firmly refuted claims that his fellow rising comedian, Micheal Charles, aka OGB Recent, is copying his comedy style. In a recent episode of the Real Life Talk podcast hosted by Ivie Naomi, Brain Jotter addressed the speculations surrounding OGB’s comedic approach.
When asked about his opinion on the assertions that OGB Recent might be imitating his style, Brain Jotter clarified that, in his view, OGB is not copying him. He acknowledged knowing OGB personally and considered him a friend to some extent. While admitting that OGB’s skits might share similarities in voice, Brain Jotter stressed that perceiving inspiration from someone’s work doesn’t necessarily equate to copying.
In the podcast, Brain Jotter expressed his perspective, stating, “OGB is not copying me. I know him personally. He is my man to an extent. But I don’t know what you guys mean by copying me. I’ve never actually come out to say he’s copying me. I feel like he has my kind of voice but I don’t really think he’s copying me.”
