The police in Alabama have arrested a 14-year-old boy, Vincent Lamar Oliver Jr., following the shooting to death of two female adults.
Police in the city of Dothan took the suspect into custody on charges of capital murder on Monday.
Local news reports say the suspect is being detained at the Southeast Alabama Diversion Centre.
The suspect was earlier declared wanted by police after Jasmine Danielle Bean, 20, and Ja’Lexius Lashon Wells, 21, were found shot to death inside a home on Sunday.
Oliver Jr. and the deceased are all from Dothan.
Police said that neither Oliver Jr. nor the victims lived in the house, adding that a sort of gathering was happening at the house when the shooting occurred.
According to police, no other person was found on the property when authorities arrived the scene on Sunday.
Police further said that Oliver Jr. was already wanted on pickup orders related to two assault charges and shots that were fired into an occupied vehicle in July.
It remained unclear if the latest incident is related to the July incident.
