Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has been bashed online after she displayed a “number 1 dad” badge received from her son’s school.
The controversial actress shares a son, King Andre, with ex-husband Oladunni Churchill.
The couple got married on August 29, 2015, and divorced barely two years later in July 2017.
Dikeh has custody of their son and regularly makes a show of playing both fatherly and motherly roles to him.
Continuing in that tradition, she gleefully shared photos of the “number 1 dad” badge received from her son’s school ahead of this year’s Father’s Day due to be marked on Sunday, June 20.
She captioned the photos: “I am determined to make you know/believe and understand that you can do anything you put your heart to do and do it..
“My greatest gift is the strength of a thousand lions.. #nothinglostnothingbroken
“It’s mama de papa for me.”
However, some fans took offence at the action.
Reacting, a Nairaland user Kondomatic wrote: “Both Tonto and the school are mad.”
Another user, Ikillbrokehoes wrote, “This one just dey deceive herself; she can never be a dad to her son, it’s totally impossible.”
A female user, pocohantas wrote, “Even if it gets to separation/divorce, may we all be blessed with partners who would understand it is the kids first. Not their egos, maliciousness or whatever.
“It is hard, but Churchill did the best thing by moving on. In few years time the boy would be at least 10 and in secondary school. He would begin to ask questions. Then Churchill can step in and they’ll have a talk.
“Till then, Tonto can continue playing MamaDePapa.”
