British Prime minister, Boris Johnson and his fiancée, Carrie Symonds have announced the birth of their baby boy.
According to a spokesperson, the baby was delivered in a hospital early this morning and both mother and baby are doing very well.
The news comes as a surprise because Miss Symonds was expected to be due in the summer, although a date was never confirmed.

The couples spokesperson said: “The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning. Both mother and baby are doing very well.
“The PM and Ms Symonds would like to thank the fantastic NHS maternity team.”
This amazing news comes just weeks after Boris Johnson was discharged from intensive care where he had been battling coronavirus. At the time, Symonds also suffered symptoms of the disease.
However, It is unclear whether Boris Johnson will take paternity leave, although he is not expected to take Prime Minister’s Questions in Parliament this afternoon.
Boris Johnson and his fiancée made history as the first unmarried couple to officially live together in Downing Street when they moved in together last year.
