A section of the Adamawa state capital, Yola was thrown into confusion on Thursday morning as a powerful explosion believed to be from a bomb rocked a police station.
The suspected bomb explosion rocked the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters in the state capital around 11.44am, Premium Times reports.
Witnesses said the loud explosion destroyed glass windows and doors in the surrounding neighbourhood.
A primary school that is directly opposite the police station was in session when the explosion went off, it was learnt.
It could not be immediately ascertained if any life was lost in the explosion which reportedly left many residents scampering in different directions.
