Several casualties have been recorded in a Bomb Blast involving a female suicide bomber that occurred on Sunday evening at GSM Market, popularly known as Kasuwan Jagol in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
An eyewitness told The Guardian that those injured were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Azare,“but the unfortunate thing is that members of the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) are on nation- wide strike and many who would have been saved died in the hospital.”
He also said Kasuwan Jagol is the only GSM market in Azare town where people from all walks of life especially in the evening visit to repairs their handsets or buy new ones.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Lawal Shehu, has confirmed the blast and he also stated that rescue operation is in progress.
