Swedish police on Thursday said they had evacuated part of the domestic terminal of an airport in western Sweden, following a bomb threat.
Police spokesman, Peter Adlersson, said police bomb disposal experts were scrutinising two plastic bags in the domestic terminal.
The spokesman for airport operators, Ulf Wallin, told newsmen that “an external threat” had been received and police had been alerted.
He, however, declined to offer details on the threat.
“Passengers on both domestic and international flights were still able to check into flights, and no flights had been diverted as at mid-afternoon,’’ he added.
However, security has been raised at European airports including in Sweden in the aftermath of the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels.
