Bolanle Raheem: Not punishing killer cop open invitation to chaos – Falz

Popular musician, Falz has called on the authorities to ensure that ASP Drambi Vandi, the police officer responsible for the Christmas Day shooting of pregnant Lagos lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem is punished.

Falz, whose real name is Folarin Falana, said that not punishing the cop would invite chaos.

Falz, who is also a lawyer and the son of a respected lawyer, Femi Falana SAN, said this in an Instagram post on Thursday.

Recall that the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba recommended the suspension of Vandi on Wednesday.

Tagging the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the police, Falz said, “#jidesanwoolu #PoliceNG. When we refused to leave the streets in October 2020, we were referred to as recalcitrant #EndSARS youths that just wanted to make trouble.

“Two years after a panel made recommendations regarding those cases, they have still not been implemented.

“Another man in a police uniform took the life of a pregnant Bolanle Raheem on Christmas Day.

“If this person isn’t punished & all details PUBLISHED for everyone to see, I am afraid many will interpret that as an invitation to chaos. Humble advice”

Meanwhile, Governor Sanwo-Olu equally took to Instagram to condemn the killing, which he called “mindless”.

He assured that justice would be speedily dispensed on the matter.
