The dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram, has released a video showing some of the abducted Chibok school girls. The resigned looking girls, numbering about 50, all wore full length hijabs.
The Boko Haram terrorist in the video made a fresh demand to the Federal Government led by President Buhari, for the release its captured fighters, in exchange for the return of the girls to their families. The Chibok girls, numbering about 219 at the time, were abducted from their school, Chibok, Borno by Boko Haram terrorists in 2014, making it over two years since they have been in captivity.
Ahmad Salkida, a journalist who has access to Boko Haram, confirmed via a series of tweets that the girls in the video are indeed the abducted Chibok girls but that some of them have fallen victims to airstrikes from the Nigerian Air Force in a bid to decimate the terrorist group. This is the third Boko Haram video that shows Chibok girls 852 days after their abduction.
A Chibok girl interviewed by a Boko Haram member, narrated how the airstrikes have killed dozens of her mates.
The administration of President Buhari recorded a renewed onslaught against Boko Haram that has been successful pushing them further into the bush and engaging them in ground and air attacks.
The president has said that the release of the girls is considered a priority and this has been evident in the way the army has dealt with the terrorists. Watch video:
