Boko Haram insurgents have murdered Reverend Lawan Andimi, Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa chapter.

A source who spoke to The Cable reporter disclosed that Rev. Andimi who was abducted on Jan 2, 2020 has been brutally murdered by his abductors on Monday

The Herald recalls that Andimi appealed to Adamawa state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to negotiate his release, in a video shared online on Jan 6, 2020.

In the video, Andimi claimed his abductors were treating him well as they provided blankets to protect him from the freezing temperature in the northern region

However, one could not ascertain if the cleric was coerced to make the speech or if it was the actual truth.
