The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar has predicted a quick end to Boko Haram insurgency in the country.
He said this on Saturday while briefing journalists in Abuja at the end of an annual physical exercise programme organised by the Nigeria Air Force.
It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had on being sworn into office announced his decision to end Boko Haram insurgency by November.
Abubakar also warned the insurgents to drop their weapons while they still have the opportunity or face the full wrath of the Nigeria military.
He said: “My message to the insurgents is simple; it is either they give up their insurgency or they are going to face the force.
“We are putting together everything in place and we hope that they will keep to this advice and surrender their arms.
“They can come up so that we can bring this operation to an end. If not, the consequences will be terribly unbearable.”
