Many lives are feared lost as Boko Haram insurgents attacked the convoy of Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State on Wednesday.
According to reports, Shettima was on his way from Maiduguri, the state capital, to a political rally at Gamboru-Ngala when his convoy was attacked.
The heavily-armed insurgents were said to have divided the governor’s convoy into two before raining bullets on the one left behind.
Although many lives are believed to be dead and others missing, it remains unclear how many were affected.
