Some passengers were taken into a waiting vehicle while the lucky ones were asked to go.
“They asked some of the passengers to come down from the vehicles and entered another truck waiting which drove into the forest, while other passengers were asked to enter their vehicles and leave,” said Mohammed Ahmadu who was among the travellers.
It remains unclear if the identity of the passengers was a criteria in determining their abduction.
This is coming after Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army staff accused the insurgents of adopting new tactics to make the army look inefficient.
