Bobrisky Loses N200m, N1b Lawsuit Against EFCC, NASS

1 Min Read

A Federal High Court in Lagos State has dismissed a fundamental rights suit filed by crossdresser Bobrisky against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the National Assembly (NASS). Bobrisky had sought N200 million from the EFCC for psychotic trauma and N1 billion from the NASS for violating his right to a fair hearing.

The court ruled that Bobrisky’s claims lacked merit and were unsupported by credible evidence. Justice Alexander Owoeye stated that the applicant failed to provide evidence to justify the award of declaratory and injunctive reliefs sought by him.

Bobrisky had also asked the court to restrain the EFCC and the NASS from harassing, detaining, or declaring him wanted. However, the court refused to grant his requests.

The EFCC’s spokesman, Dele Oyewale, disclosed that the court’s decision was made after evaluating the evidence presented by Bobrisky. The court also refused to award damages against the EFCC.

This development comes after Bobrisky was embroiled in controversy following an audio recording leaked by social media influencer Martins Otse, alleging that he paid the EFCC N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him.
