Following the arrest of billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike popularly known as Evans, more information about the arrested criminal mastermind has surfaced.
According to latest documents made available by the Nigerian Police, the notorious kidnap kingpin obtained his Ghanaian passport with a fake name.
The Nigerian Police in a copy of the Ghanaian passport recovered, Evans obtained the Ghanaian passport under the false name Asare Nelson.
Evans was reported to have obtained the passport on January 10, 2013.
The latest information comes after the billionaire kidnap kingpin had confessed to being a drug trafficker adding that he left the business when one of his clients shot him. He further revealed that the drug trafficking business led to his colon cancer after one of his parcels burst inside of him.
The Nigerian Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris had earlier on Tuesday revealed that a joint effort and intelligence sharing between Ghanaian authorities and the Nigerian Police Force led to the arrest of the notorious kidnap kingpin.
Ibrahim Idris further revealed that the notorious kidnapper has a Ghanaian passport and cautioned the Ghanaian authorities to tighten modalities for the issuance of passports.
He said: “Nigerians are celebrating the arrest of the Ghanaian-Nigerian. Ghanaian because he has a Ghanaian passport something you guys have to look at.”
Information so far about the arrested criminal mastermind reveals that he has made over $7billion from the kidnapping business and was a one-time drug trafficker cum thief.
Evans is reported to have three mansions and was reported to have relocated his wife whom he reportedly transferred the sum of N20 million to four days before his arrest to Ghana along with his six children because of the nature of his job.
Onwuamadike reportedly owns two houses in Accra; one of them, a duplex located at Spintex, an Accra metropolis where his wife, Mrs Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike lives with their children.
